A showcase evening with Azado
From embers in minutes to flavour in the moment.

An evening in November that showed how closely pleasure and technology can coexist.

A grill that deserves attention

We invited partners, dealers and architects to get to know the Azado – a charcoal grill from Switzerland, still little known in Germany, that impresses with its precise craftsmanship and unusually well-thought-out construction.

What makes the Azado particularly interesting for us: It is one of the few charcoal grills that integrates excellently into high-end outdoor kitchens.

The technology behind the embers

After just a few minutes, it became clear what makes this grill special: Under the charcoal lies a discreet gas element, which, together with a sophisticated air flow system, ensures that the charcoal turns into glowing embers very quickly. If desired, you can grill directly over gas. If you value full charcoal aroma, you ignite wood or charcoal with the gas flame and use the resulting embers. Both work intuitively, cleanly, and surprisingly fast.

The heat of the embers is not regulated by knobs, as with gas grilling, but by the height of the grill grate: a precisely engineered mechanism allows the distance to the embers to be adjusted millimetre by millimetre. It’s not spectacular – but extremely effective. The system is complemented by accessories such as the plancha and wok attachment, also made with high-quality craftsmanship and thoughtfully designed.

Atmosphere, exchange and impression

The evening turned into a pleasant mix of conversation, curiosity and genuine enjoyment. Despite the cold, the mood was light and open, the tastings convinced, and it quickly became clear that the Azado leaves a lasting impression: as a grill that rethinks charcoal cooking and fits perfectly into a premium outdoor kitchen.

For us, the evening provided a clear confirmation: the combination of Swiss precision and OCQ’s design philosophy works. Not because of effects, but because of function, material quality and an understanding of outdoor cooking that sees the outdoors as living space.

Azado × OCQ – a composition of fire, engineering and meticulous craftsmanship. For people who want to cook outside – with intention and standard.
