Form, function, integrationArchitecture meets outdoor living
Architecture unites function and form – an outdoor kitchen as part of the structure
In close collaboration with the architect, this terrace became an ensemble where architecture, design and outdoor living merge: a custom-made outdoor kitchen and a matching table, seamlessly integrated into the architectural concept.
Integration instead of addition
The outdoor kitchen is precisely integrated into the built structure and frames the existing terrace wall – turning it into part of the architecture. A recessed side panel visually dissolves the wall and gives the kitchen distinctive depth.
The created space is used functionally: behind the worktop and along the wall, integrated planters are planted with lavender and herbs.
Clear design language and materiality
The architect emphasized calm, clear lines. Outdoor kitchen and table share geometry and materiality and appear as one – precise, balanced, and architecturally consistent.
A key design element is the natural stone Breccia Imperiale – bold, elegant, and with fine depth. Its structure connects kitchen and table into one coherent unit of cooking and conviviality.
Function and aesthetics in harmony
Alongside the clean design, functionality was essential: the Flammkraft Grilla generous fridge, and a stainless-steel sink are seamlessly integrated. Combined with the water features made of Corten steel, a composition emerges – robust and elegant at once.
Crafted to the last detail
This project demonstrates how architecture and craftsmanship can merge. Every line, material, and detail was aligned with the building and style of the house. The result: a place of enjoyment, tranquility, and quality of life – architecture for the outdoors.
