2023 ICONIC AWARD
BBQube X received the ICONIC AWARD – not for show, but for architectural clarity. The jury recognized the consistent fusion of function, design and material intelligence. An outdoor kitchen that behaves like an architectural element: monolithic, modular, precisely planned and seamlessly integrable into different spaces and scales.
No decoration, no spectacle – but system, structure and intent. BBQube X demonstrates how outdoor kitchens are conceived today: as durable, formative elements in exterior architecture.

2023 GERMAN DESIGN AWRD
The German Design Award honours products that set benchmarks – BBQube X is one of them. The award confirms what defines OCQ: purist design language, uncompromising material quality, and a construction that not only works but lasts. A kitchen that feels cast from a single mould, yet is modular, reversible and circular in its build – unique in its class.
BBQube X stands for design that doesn’t need to be loud to convince – because precision, substance and longevity speak for themselves.

2019 BUILD / HOME & GARDEN AWARDS
BBQube PRO received the Build Home & Garden Award – as recognition for an outdoor kitchen that consistently unites architecture, craftsmanship, and engineering. Designed by Michael Schmidt (code2design), it embodies OCQ’s principle: not mass production, but tailor-made solutions with architectural clarity, pure material expression, and precise workmanship.
BBQube PRO is more than a kitchen – it becomes part of the built environment. Reduced lines, functional depth, solid ceramic and metal surfaces, engineered to last for decades. A kitchen that doesn’t perform, but proves itself – through integrity, durability, and architectural presence outdoors.

2018 GERMAN INNOVATION AWARD
The German Design Council honoured the development of the modular outdoor kitchen system with the German Innovation Award 2018 – recognising real innovation rather than mere novelty. What convinced the jury was the combination of architectural thinking, technical precision, and consistent user orientation: a system that can be planned modularly, expanded, and integrated into a wide variety of outdoor environments – functional, durable, and reversible.
The jury highlighted the significant user value: clear construction, intelligent ventilation, sustainable material selection, and a system that behaves like architecture – not like furniture.

2014 INTERIOR INNOVATION AWARD
BBQube ONE received the Interior Innovation Award 2014 in the category Best Outdoor Kitchen Design– an award that honours design with substance, not surface.
What made the difference was a new approach: thinking of outdoor kitchens not as furniture, but as architectural elements – defined by clear lines, precise manufacturing, durable materials, and a constructive logic that allows seamless integration like a building component. Not decoration, but a functional statement in outdoor space.
